Never Thought I'd Live to See the Day: The Times Uses the F-Word

The Romney campaign is airing an advertisement falsely charging that Mr. Obama has “quietly announced” plans to eliminate work and job training requirements for welfare beneficiaries, a message Mr. Romney’s aides said resonates with working-class voters who see government as doing nothing for them.

  1. What choice did the Times really have? Republicans haven't the slightest interest in creating jobs or "putting people to work". Their only interest in the matter is in manipulating the labor pool, minimizing wages and busting unions.

Their "make jobs" rhetoric is in the same category as "legitimate rape" -- in fact, it is what they view as a "legitimate rape." A way to redistribute wealth, in the form of corporate welfare into their own pockets.

Why else are those bills purporting to "make jobs" never attached to any specific requirements that they actually do make jobs; like "food stamps" that can only be spent to buy food? Both f-words are the only appropriate terms that describe this brand of Republican hypocrisy. The Times really had no choice - red slider
